Red Chili

Red chili, derived from the fruits of plants in the Capsicum genus, is a popular spice known for its fiery heat and vibrant red color. Native to the Americas, red chilies were introduced to Asia and other parts of the world after the Columbian Exchange and have since become an essential ingredient in many global cuisines, especially Indian, Thai, Mexican, and Chinese.
